Commitment to Community Engagement

Guided by the core tenets of the National Association of Seadogs, Saxon Deck has consistently sought to make a constructive impact within the communities it serves. Since its inception, the deck has undertaken a range of initiatives, some independently, others in collaboration with reputable partner organisations focused on public awareness, health advocacy, civic participation, and social welfare.

In 2016, Saxon Deck members conducted a public awareness campaign ahead of the United Kingdom’s European Union referendum, encouraging civic engagement and informed participation in the democratic process.

The following year, in 2017, Saxon Deck partnered with NHS Blood Transfusion to host an awareness programme in Liverpool. The initiative focused on educating the public about the urgent need for blood and organ donors, highlighting how individual contributions can save lives.

Health advocacy remained a central focus in 2018, when Saxon Deck collaborated with Prostate Cancer UK on a publicity drive aimed at raising awareness of prostate health. The campaign emphasised the importance of regular prostate checks and early detection.
