Addressing Health and Social Challenges

In 2019, Saxon Deck expanded its social impact efforts through multiple initiatives. Working closely with Mustard Tree, a Manchester-based charity that supports people experiencing homelessness, members helped raise awareness of homelessness, volunteered directly with affected individuals, and generated funds to support the charity’s work. That same year, Saxon Deck once again partnered with NHS Blood Transfusion, alongside Sickle Cell UK, to renew public awareness around the critical shortage of blood donors, particularly within communities disproportionately affected by sickle cell disease.

Responding to global events, Saxon Deck organised a COVID-19 vaccine awareness campaign in 2020. Open to the general public, the virtual event attracted over 200 participants from around the world, providing credible information and addressing concerns at a time of widespread uncertainty.
