In 2022, Saxon Deck collaborated with the Salford Forum for Refugees and People Seeking Asylum to organise an event celebrating the contributions of people of Black heritage to society. The programme also served as an educational platform, enriching the local community’s understanding of Black history and its enduring significance.

Continuing its commitment to social justice and public health, Saxon Deck delivered two major initiatives in 2023. On 28 April, members held a “sleep-out” event in Liverpool city centre to raise awareness and provide support for people experiencing homelessness. In the same year, Saxon Deck once again partnered with Prostate Cancer UK to deliver a public awareness campaign focused on prostate and blood cancer, reinforcing the importance of regular health checks and early intervention.

In commemoration of Black History Month, Saxon Deck partnered with Stop Hate UK, which is a national charity that offers support to victims of hate crimes, including those in Manchester. Stop Hate UK also provides a 24/7 helpline, online chat services, and advocacy support. In this partnership, we raised over £1,000 for the Stop Hate UK charity.
